About Alpa

What is ALPA?

The Association of Little People of Alberta (ALPA) is a non-profit organization, incorporated in the province of Alberta, on April 24, 1989. ALPA provides moral support, fellowship, and information to Albertans of short stature and their families, as well as interested friends and professionals.

What does the ALPA website have to offer?

Answers to common questions and solutions to common problems surrounding dwarfism can be obtained from the resources on this website. The ALPA discussion area helps members to share ideas, develop friendships, and provide each other with moral support.

Who can become an ALPA member?

Membership is open to Albertans of short stature (shorter than 4-feet, 10-inches, as a result of a medical or genetic condition) and their families. Applicants are carefully screened to ensure that their intentions for joining ALPA are honorable. This protects the privacy of our members, and allows members to feel safe within their website community.
